Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We have finished 100 days of prayer.  But we have not finished praying.  The Lord’s people are to be a people of prayer, filled with the Spirit, rejoicing in the Lord.   The well-known words of 2 Chronicles 7:14 are as important and relevant as ever:  if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

So, we are going to continue with these prayer notes – but on a weekly basis each Monday and then a repeat send each Wednesday for those who may have missed opening the email.

Each week we will bring you news and information about Covid 19 in Australia and the world.  We will also keep up to date with vaccine development, how Covid is impacting the church and families – and we will not forget other important issues in the world.

These prayer notes are designed for use by individuals, families, organisations and churches.  They are interdenominational – seeking the Lord’s blessing on all his people.  They are also evangelistic – in that we are praying for people to be healed of the greatest virus of all,  sin; and to come to know the greatest blessing of all – salvation through Christ.

Speaking of blessing. That is what we are praying for.  The blessing of God upon the world and Australia.    I’m sure most of you will have seen this wonderful video produced by over 300 churches in Australia – but just in case you have not I would suggest you watch and join in this!  The Blessing – Australia

Although we are not putting specific prayer requests in terms of individuals and ministries (for reasons of space and time) please do feel free to let me know of things and people to pray for.  Also if you have any suggestions for improvements (including correcting my terrible grammar – blame it on my Scottishness!), then feel free to let me know by replying to this email or direct at  [email protected]

We’d also value you helping spread the word to see others join with you in prayer.  Your friends can sign up to receive these weekly prayer updates at

We have much to be thankful for in Australia – we are not the ‘lucky’ nation. We are a blessed nation.  By the mercy and grace of God, so far we have seen very little of this dreadful virus.  Pray for the outbreak in Melbourne – that it will be ended by the time I put out the first weeks notes (next Monday).   And pray that we will all be humbled, gracious, loving and rejoicing in the Lord.

See you on Monday!
