We are seeing tremendous unity as Church denominations and Christians stand together in one accord, at a time in history when humanity is facing fear, division and isolation.

The prayer of Jesus in John 17 is a powerful reminder that this is the heart of God. He prayed at length in the Garden of Gethsemane, specifically that we would “be one”.

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.(John 17:20-21)

At a time when we choose our response to the COVID-19 crisis, ask yourself how you can be part of blessing others:

How different would things look if we embraced selflessness and valued others above ourselves?

What if we valued our relationships more than our opinions?

How impacting would it be if we complimented rather than competed with each other?

It’s a new season for the Church across the nation and the globe, and I’m excited about the days ahead and what we will achieve together for the Kingdom.

Incredible things happen when we are in unity and in agreement. Think about how we’ve stood together in prayer and fasting in times of great upheaval and crisis.  When we do things with a spirit of unity, there is an outpouring of blessing.

As we unite in prayer as the Church of Jesus Christ, standing together against COVID-19, I believe we will see the blessing of Psalm 133 flow through our communities, cities, nation and the world.

Psalm 133

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe.
It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,  even life forevermore.
